Dr
Robert Bong
Principal Partner & Research Director
Dr Robert Bong, Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive of UCSI University,
a former Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director and
Director on the board of a number of public companies
listed on the New York, Toronto, Thailand and Singapore stock
exchanges, has more than 30 years of experience in corporate
leadership, government affairs and operational management across a
diverse range of sectors. He has lived and worked in the USA, UK,
India
Sub-Continent, Greater China Region, and most of the Asia Pacific
countries. Robert has special interest in the technology and
education sectors, and he is based out of the Beijing and
travels to India and Malaysia every month. Prior to relocating to
China,
Robert lived and spent extensive amount of time in India, witnessing
the structural transformation of the global software development and IT
services industry, and the subsequent emergence of the global business
process and IT outsourcing industry from India. Today, Robert is the
exclusive Blue Ocean Strategy licensed partner in India. Robert
is an Angel Investor and he spends his leisure time doing pro bono
works
for the young entrepreneurial start-up ventures in China and
India. In addition to being the Vice Chancellor and Chief
Executive of UCSI in Malaysia, he works with INSEAD Business School in
France and Singapore,
TsingHua
University in China and Singapore Management University, Institute of
Innovation
and Entrepreneurship as their coach and business mentor. In India,
Robert works with the Manipal Education Group and T.A.Pai Management
Institute on advancing the research and practice of Blue Ocean
Strategy. Robert also
serves as the Advisor for the Sampoerna Education Foundation in
Indonesia. He comes from
a diverse ethnic and cultural background, and is fluent in multiple
languages including English and Chinese (Mandarin).
Mr Poonacha Machaiah

Poonacha, a successful serial
entrepreneur and intrapreneur, has more than 20 years of proven track
records in
building start-up businesses and forming strategic alliances with
global players in the information technology, telecommunications,
semiconductors, OEMs, network equipment vendors and ODMs, as well as
leading the global sales, business development, operations management,
strategic planning and technology design functions at senior leadership
positions at Fortune 100 companies working and living in the USA,
Europe, Middle East, Indian Sub-continent and most of the Asia Pacific
countries. Poonacha is also the Partner for the Blue Ocean
Strategy exlclusive license and business rights in India. Having
schooled and worked in the USA for more than 12
years, Poonacha is a US citizen with deep Indian roots and wide network
among the local and overseas Indian Diaspora. Today, Poonacha is
focusing on bringing the best of the global thought leaders to India
with the view of stimulating the imagination of the local businesses
and energizing the Indian economy beyond its exiting structural and
cultural boundaries, and to help the local Indian companies grow and
scale overseas.

Michael, a former Chief Executive for a number of companies
and current Advisor and Independent Director on the boards of several
companies and a founding
member of several industry associations, has more than 25 years of
corporate leadership and management experience working and living mainly in Asia Pacific
countries. Some of his key
accomplishments
include leading the start-up, operation and
restructuring of entrepreneurial,
regional and multi-national
organizations, across a
variety
of industries including telecoms, financial services,
energy & utilities, manufacturing, and the public sector. Michael’s core competence lies
in his extensive government
and commercial network across South East Asian region, his skills
around corporate problem and opportunity identification matters, people relationship management, and in the formulation and execution of corporate and
business strategies. Michael comes from an ethnic Indian and English and he is completely fluent in
English and Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa
Indonesia.
Ms Ada Xing
Senior Consultant
Ada is an entrepreneur in the human resource consulting business for
the past 15 years. She had set up her own consulting company in the
People’s Republic of China with a focus in executive search,
particularly in the ICT and finance sectors. Ada has established
herself and her company as a preferred executive search firm among the
multinational companies in China and reputable local companies. Ada’s
strength lies in her creative, analytical and entrepreneurial skills.
Combined with her strong economic and financial background, her
in-depth knowledge of the local environment and wide network of
contacts, Ada adds value to her human resource consulting services
drawing from her entrepreneurial background.
Ms Seria Lam
Principal Consultant
Seria is a seasoned human resource professional with more than 20 years
of functional leadership and operational experience in the entire
spectrum of human resource practices. She specializes in the high tech
and ICT sectors. Seria now runs the human resource consulting
practice in China and has successfully completed numerous C level
executive search and recruitment assignments in the Greater China
region on behalf of Fortune 500 companies. Having been educated in
North America and held several senior positions in multinational
corporations, she is exceptionally conversant with cultural diversity,
high performance work places and talent management across the Asia
Pacific and Greater China regions. Seria's core competence lies in
strategic human resource management, organizational development and
effectiveness. In particular, she has successfully accomplished many
projects during her tenure with multinational companies, as well as for
her own clients from her practice, in designing, implementing and
leading the change for high performance talent management systems, and
facilitated leadership transformation at multiple organizational levels
and managed corporate restructuring exercises across functional groups.
Seria is completely fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin and
Cantonese).
Ms Isabelle Roulet
Consultant
Isabelle has more than 15 years of experience in marketing in the IT
and telecommunications industry working across the entire spectrum of
functions such as market research, program planning and management,
channel management, sales support, corporate marketing, and training
and development. Isabelle’s strength lies in her creativity and
originality in conceptualizing and designing marketing programs to suit
the end users operating environment. With more than ten years of
working experience in Asia and a language competency in English, French
and Dutch, she is able to closely understand and bridge the gap between
the Western and Eastern environments.
Ms Mei M Lim
Principal Consultant
Mei is a seasoned business executive with more than 25 years of
experience in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and
Professional Services (BPO) industries with global MNCs as well as
entrepreneurial start-ups specializing in the Contact Centre, Customer
Relation Management and Content Management domains, having worked and
lived in the USA, Singapore and most of the Asia and Pacific region,
progressing from technology management to application marketing, and to
professional services. Mei has
years
of experience in developing and managing channel partners in Asia
Pacific and product development and
management in Silicon Valley, California. Her expertise lies in her
ability to develop and manage very complex channel partners in Asia
Pacific and her in-depth knowledge of a wide range of customer
application solutions. With her excellent interpersonal skills that
span
across different cultures, Mei is most effective as an evangelist for
any new technology solutions to be introduced in Asia Pacific. Mei is
completely fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and she is also the
professional photographer for CRICT’s research team conducting work in
some of the harshest environments over a sustained period of time.
Ms Malvina Herrnsdorf
Company Secretary & Director
Malvina has been the executive assistant to Dr Robert Bong since his
previous appointment as the Managing Director of Nortel Networks.
Today, Malvina is the Company Secretary and Company Director for the
CRICT Group. Malvina is a qualified accoutant and a trained hotelier.
She is proficient in
English, French, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese (Mandarin).
