CRICT — the Charles River Initiative for Creative Transformation — was founded in 2000 along the banks of the Charles River in Boston, Massachusetts. We began with a simple observation: globalization and technology were reshaping not only businesses and industries, but also individuals, communities, and societies worldwide.
We believe disruption need not be destructive. Throughout history, those who embrace change with imagination have built new industries, created opportunities, and strengthened society. Today, this truth is clearer than ever with the rise of artificial intelligence (AI). AI is redefining how we work, learn, and live — carrying both risks and extraordinary opportunities. If guided with wisdom, AI can uplift industries, empower individuals, and advance societies toward greater inclusion and prosperity.
At CRICT, we have chosen to focus on education as the most powerful agent of transformation. Education unlocks potential, breaks the cycles of poverty, and gives the poor and vulnerable a chance to thrive in a rapidly changing world. To operationalize this mission, we created the Saint Bernadette Education Fund for the Poor — a platform dedicated to opening doors to knowledge, dignity, and opportunity for disadvantaged students. Through this initiative, we put our principles into action, helping the next generation rise above circumstances and build a better future.
